Feed the Heart — Nourishing Families in Tarrant County

I grew up on food stamps when they were still paper, little coupon booklets my mom used to make sure we had enough. Years later, as a young single mom at 22, I found myself using them again. By then, food stamps had finally switched to a card, but WIC was still issued as paper checks. I remember the quiet mix of relief and humility that came with those moments.

Did you know that one out of every six people in our community faces hunger? The Tarrant Area Food Bank works to provide children, families, and seniors with access to nutritious meals every day. Their mission is important to me because no one should have to go hungry.

With news that SNAP benefits may not be renewed on November 1st, many families in our community could face even greater challenges in putting food on the table. Every dollar counts. Every meal matters.

Every $1 you donate provides 5 meals for people in need. My goal is to raise $3,000, which means together, we could provide 15,000 meals to families in our community.

Join me in feeding the heart of our community and helping ensure that no table goes empty.
